Lake Cargelligo NSW

Saturday morning was another cold start to the day, so as you do we went to another camp on another lake, this time it was Lake Cargelligo at Dead Mans Point. We were almost on our own with one other caravan, but that didn't last long with two more vans turning up. That afternoon the bloke from the original camp invited everyone over to his place that had a nice big fire going. Great happy hour with all of us getting on like we had known each other for years. Turns out the bloke, I think his name was Greg was a truckie and would travel all over Australia carting stages and equipment for some of the big local singers and bands as well as the overseas acts, he had a policy of what happens on the road stays on the road.

The next morning we said goodbye to Greg and his family and after they left the rest of us moved the rocks that were used to make the fireplace and knocked off the remaining firewood.

Lake Cargelligo has a very rural feel about it and it is reflected in the large properties and the artistic unique gates, although I think they were made by the same person, but each set has slight differences in their design.

We finished the day with yet another happy hour that afternoon, once again a good time was had by all. The evening was topped off by the Blues winning the second game of origin. It can only get better if we win the series.
