Cleve SA

Cleve here we come! Pulled into Cleve Showground its got a his and hers as well as showers, one each at $1.00 per two minutes. Made a trip about 6km's  out of town to check out Yeldulknie Weir,  deemed it unsuitable for us, so back to the showground. John went into town to get some hot cross buns at the bakery but they were doing orders only so down to Foodland and score, we at least had buns for Easter.

Good Friday nice start to the day until the wind picked up. We took a stroll through town with lots of historic houses. To help the tourist find businesses and tourist places of interest, an enterprising person started making sheepdogs from corrugated iron and placing them in the appropriate spots. We had the place to ourselves until a motor home and van joined us.

Saturday we found ourselves back at Whyalla for two nights, more so we didn't have to travel to far than any other reason. Boy did we spend  some money here. Our inverter which charges our electronic devises when we are not connected to electricity up and died. We took ourselves off to Super Cheap to get a replacement. When Kay came around to collect the money for our stay she was surprised to see us again.
Come Sunday, Kay did not disappoint and turned up with some home made Rocky Road for Easter. This time I also got her recipe for Anzac Biscuits and the Choc Mint Roll she had made for us the last time we were here.
Easter Monday we hit the road again for Port Augusta as we needed to replace the switch for the hot water system just another thing to go wrong. Port was the closest place to get a replacement. Fitted the new one and enjoyed a hot shower with out having to hard wire it. While here we topped up the food supplies, fuel and grog.
