We arrived at Port Lincoln and set up camp at John Martin Caravan Repairs. He has two areas to camp at, one has some powered sites and is pretty flat the other spot is behind the work sheds and has no power and is more of a bush setting for $5 bucks a night.
First thing we did was find a jewelers and drop off my watch to get fixed. The sales lady talked to the jeweler and he said give me two days and I'll see what I can do. Next stop the Tourist Info Centre as per usual and picked up a couple of what to see and do info books. Feeling hungry we went to Hage's Bakery, it was packed, always a good sign. I got a Kangaroo Pie and John went for a Steak & Onion, so yummy. Took in the sight around town they have a massive port and wharf, a statue of Makybe Diva and a statue of Matthew Flinders and his cat Trim.
Next day we picked up a pass for Lincoln National Park and headed off. All the beauty off the bush plus a number of water views. We had a near miss with a family of Emus crossing the road without looking left and right but fortunately no one was hurt. Some great and not so great camp sites as well.
Friday we picked up some roo pies to cook another day. As per most Fridays we wound up at a pub, this time it was the Grand Tasman Hotel. Very nice indeed.
Saturday we went to get my watch he was unable to fix it, many apologies. So a little pissed off we went food shopping, some things never change.
Sunday we just bumbed around looked at another couple of camp grounds totally unsuitable either to cramped or to much of a slope on the land.
Monday we packed up camp, filled the water tanks and hit the road, we had one more stop to make at the Just Fresh Seafood Shop and picked up some deep sea flathead.
