Pulled in to a free camp at a dot town called Tantanoola population as of the 2106 census was 496, I dare say that more than likely that figure has dropped somewhat.
What the town is famous for is the Tantanoola Caves and oddly the Tantanools Tiger. First thought to be a giant feral cat that was attacking and killing sheep in mid1895, it was shot by one Thomas John Donavan and was found to be more wolf than cat. It was later identified as an Arabian Wolf. This dog like creature is now stuffed and on display in a glass case that now resides at the Tantanoola Tiger Pub as the locals call it.
