On the road again heading north west we checked out a couple of free camps on the way but they just didn't pass muster. Our last place on the list was a caravan park at Coonalpyn, not great but it was only for one night.
Coonalpyn is a very small town of about 200 but the draw card for the tourist is another amazing silo art work. The silo was painted by Guido Van Helten the guy who started all this in Victoria. Most small towns want to focus on the past and wanted to avoid that, this time painting five five children portraits. The children are Kiarah Leske, Blake Thompson, Macy Jacobs, Reef Gregor and Ciara Johnson and the children represent the hope for the future.
This town had two other attractions we had a couple of beers at the pub opposite the silo's and believe it or not waffle and jaffle cafe with front window service. You can bet there will be waffles will be on the menu for breakfast tomorrow.
