Sale VIC

Sale here we come. We found the showground easily enough, $22.00 a night powered or non-powered, so we went powered. Nice place pull up where ever you wanted. Nice new amenities block opened just last Monday, set up camp and headed into town to get some info on the town and surrounding areas.
Day one we started our exploration of the surrounding area and found the historic swing bridge built in the early 1880s it opens by swinging the middle part of the bridge with a combination of gears and coggs. To this day it is still operational and is opened on certain days. We then went south east to Golden Beach to check out a 48hr donation stay, if we get back down this way we would have to stay there. While we were in the area we also checked out the National Park site along what is known as 90 Mile Beach, between Golden Beach heading further southwest to Seaspray. For us not so inviting, small spaces, would have been a push to get the van through the tracks let alone park, all dirt sites, only thing going for them was drop toilets and close proximity to the beach.
Day two headed north and went to Maffra, Heyfield then south to Rosedale. If you ever get down this way they have a great bakery at Rosedale, we both had a meat and salad roll, $6.00 each and we left thoroughly satisfied.
