Pulling up stumps but not in to much of a hurry as weren't very far to our next stop, the beautiful town of Millinganda. This place was a farm stay, non-powered but water available. Set up camp and cruised into Pambula to have Friday arvo drinks and call up Ron, Joe and Roy.
After a sleep in till 9am, we headed for Eden and had a full history lesson of the whaling days of the past at the Killer Whale Museum at Two Fold Bay.
After the museum we set our sites on Ben Boyd National Park to see the Boyd Tower. Ben had the tower built to look for whales as he was in the industry, problem was he never got permission to build the thing so it was never used officially. After that it was renamed Boyd's folly by the locals. We also took a bush walk and looked at the ruins of a whaling station where they processed the whale blubber which was used in a range of products from oil for there lanterns to an additive in soap. As we walked along the bush track we met up with two snakes, a baby eastern brown and another that we didn't know what it was but it definitely had attitude. After some research we pretty sure it was a venomous broad headed snake.
