Left Bingara and headed for Tamworth. We decided to stop overnight at Attunga at a free camp opposite the pub. When we say free camp and opposite the pub it never works out to be free, after a few beers and some great tucker we walked back across the road to our free camp. Next day we made it to Tamworth we stayed at the pace way track for 3 nights. We haven't been to Tamworth since 1994 as we were regulars to the Country music festival. Some things have changed and somethings remain the same. We chose to do the tourist things like visit the big guitar, drive up to the lookout and strolled through the streets. It was a great way to slow down and relax.
