Left Camooweal and headed south to Urandangie. The first thing you notice is that a lot of the road signs and warning signs of kids crossing and such are painted on car bonnets. We have been to some small towns but this beat them all a total population of 17, 9 adults and 8 kids add to that 4 shetland ponies, 4 joeys, 3 kangaroos a couple of dogs and a cat, the animals almost out number the people. As we often do we called into the pub which is the only retail outlet in town as it is also the petrol station. The very nice lady who runs the pub also looks after the kangaroos, we both got to cuddle and feed the baby joeys, it was a first for both of us. She told us about a nice bush camp also on the Georgina River. We had no problems finding Dinner Camp as it also had a car bonnet sign.We were surprised that the camp even had a toilet. Not bad we had our first camp fire since leaving in January.
