Packed up camp and headed to Rockhampton no back roads this time straight up the Bruce Highway. Pulled into the Parkhurst Motel and Van Park, small but clean and very friendly. Lots to see, we took in the Rocky Zoo and Botanical gardens and also explored farther afield to the coast and visited Yapoon, Cooee Bay, Emu park (no Emus were sighted) but it does have a lovely sculpture dedicated to Captain Cook and a walkway and monument for the centenary of the First World War.
If you like as we do the Queenslander style of houses we could definatly live there, so many to choose from and the prices are so much cheaper than Sydney. To finish on a high at Rocky we found out our impending grand child is going to be a BOY!!
