With the temperature staying around 40C and nights at 20 odd we headed to Parkes Showground where we could run the air cond. We went to Memorial Park which is on the top of a hill over looking the town very impressive tower built to honour our fallen soldiers. next stop was Bushranger park to look at what was left of a gold smelting operation, no trip to Parker would be complete without a visit to the telescope which had a interesting sign out the front.
