Goondiwindi

Hi all well we are about half way thru our trip and she who must be obeyed has not killed me!

Goondiwindi is a very well sported town with 4 pubs and a good size shopping centre. The showground is large, good amenities and quite at night. We stayed 2 nights and then moved on to a free camp about 30kms upstream along the Dumaresq River called Lees reserve.
In the afternoon a group of locals of aboriginal origin came by for a swim in the river. 2 of the males when past our camp to go fishing, when they returned approx 2 hours later I asked if then got any fish the answer was no but the did have a Goanna  about 1.5 mtrs long and where very proud of it.

We did not get invited for dinner!
